Hello guys and thank you for your answer.
I use the itcho desktop app and when I click on "instal" it does nothing.  The download don't start, I can't really figure out what could be the problem. I have the last version, I'll try from the site.

Hi Chiara!

Thanks for responding with your issues! Noted with big thanks. We hope you able to download the game from Itch.io Browser or Website!

Cheers!

Gave it a go...

Hey Stepvibes,

Watched your let's play video, you seems to be very confuse the plot as it is reference to Chinese culture. I comment on your youtube video. Do check it out, if you want to know more. :D

Cheers!

Hey there, SirFancylot,

Big thanks, that you gave the Long Road Ahead a try, and finish it! :D
We all are glad that, you genuinely scare during Old Street light scene. :)

Cheers!

This game surprised me, from the screen shots it looked like a point and click novel style game which I was looking forward to play but to then be informed I have WASD key control was awesome.

The way the paper reacts to the controls and environment I cant imagine how much work must have gone into this from a technical stand point this is top rate.

Oh and the story telling was good too I didn't forget that :)

Hi DrRemarkable,

Thanks for playing and made Let's Play out of it! We are glad that you enjoyed it so far!

Hi there, I recently played through your game and I have to say I found it quite interesting. I'm going to be upfront and say that I know very little about Chinese culture so I'm very curious as to what story (if any) this is inspired by. I absolutely love the art style of the game, I find it incredibly unique and beautiful. The atmosphere of the game is also really well put together, there's a continuous build up of mystery surrounding the road, though I did feel a tad disappointed in the end. The jump-scare at the last second is a nice touch though haha.

I couldn't really find any flaws with the game, grammar and spelling seems to be perfectly accurate, and I didn't encounter any bugs.

All in all, this is a very good horror story, I just wish I had a little bit of context as to what exactly it was that was on the road.

Also, I hope you don't mind but I made a short let's play of the game for my channel.

Cheers and best wishes to you!

Hi Killjoy!

You have an amazing voice-over man! Props to that. Thanks for giving the Long Road Ahead a try and finish it. :)
The Long Road Ahead story, didn't really inspired by any other story which I know of, however, the (Chinese) Lantern and Pink ghosts are actually meant something in this game. :D

If you're interested, look into these events:
1.) Qing Ming Festival
2.) Chinese Ghost Festival
3.) Chinese Funerals

Cheers!

A lot of fun! I wish the story was longer. I can't wait to play more!

Made a video

Hi Spudcats!

What do you think so far? Any feedback and comment on Long Road Ahead?

Cheers!

Really loved the art style of the game and the road was interesting. I wanted to see what else was hidden in the woods. The visual novel way of telling the story worked perfectly giving the player the story and allowing it to be told by characters who know just enough to get you curious about the road. It works well and I want to see what other stories you want to tell.

The only problem I really had with the game were the parts where you control the character. They felt out of place having nothing to really add to the overall game. They could be improved by allowing the player to gain more information about the story from objects or dialogue options in the area. You could have the cashier have some dialogue warning the player about the shortcut or having missing posters on the side of the building  the player could look at making the world seem a little more alive during those little parts.

Overall it's a good game with a great art style and interesting story, the game could be improved with a little bit of more interaction with the world but it works as it is and I want to see what else you will come up with in the next game.

Hi JugheadGaming!

You don't actually need to install the game. Just download the Long Road Ahead as shown for 64 Bit / 32 Bit based on your Window OS. When you finish the download:

1.) Finish Download: Look for the file directory Long Road Ahead.
2.) Right click on [ LongRoadAhead.rar ], and use (WinZip) to extract the file to your preferred file directory.
3.) If WinZip extraction success.  Open the folder, look for [ CVG_LongRoadAhead.exe ] application.
4.) Double click [ CVG_LongRoadAhead.exe ] You may start playing the game. :D

Cheers & Sorry for any inconvenient causes

PS: Let us know if you still have any trouble.

This was a PHENOMENAL short horror experience. The atmosphere started off right away and had me on the edge of my seat. The characters had personality and it was easy to get immersed in the experience and relate to them. This game really makes you wonder what all happens on the side of the road in the night while you’re driving on a daily basis. Even if it isn’t supernatural, there is still a pretty good possibility that horrors lurk in the darkness. The art style was beautiful and the animation was very well done. The game had awesome lighting and shadows that ran super smoothly compared to a lot of recent indie horror titles. Thanks so much for making this! Can’t wait to see more from you guys!

Really fun, interesting and unique game!!!!

Hi Jakumie!

Hi EyeDisconnected!

Thanks for giving a try on Long Road Ahead. We watched your Let's Play vid, you missed one detail on Old Streetlight Scene, which it also slightly relate to Chinese culture as well as the Lanterns. :D Nonetheless, thanks for playing and we hope you enjoy the creepy short story we try to deliver.

Hi! I'm just wondering, is the entire actual game downloadable on Mac as well? Or is it only downloadable on Windows?

Hi Astral,

It is only for Windows for now. Due to the fact that, we do not own Mac, thus we aren't entirely sure whether it will 100% work on Mac OS. Sorry for any inconvenience cause. :'(

I LOVED your style in this game. It's amazing and I wish there were more of it. I'm so happy to have to chance to have played this and I can't wait to see more of your work!

Wow, I totally adore the artstyle! Could you tell us what engine did you use to create it? Was it Unity?

The game felt a little flat (no pun intended, seriously), but I absolutely adore the look and style. I'd like to see it implemented in something a little longer.
